He came up with the 5 Pillars. These are things that should be in place in order for you to be successful.

So, what are these 5 Pillars?

1) Company Management Experience WITH INTEGRITY Read your Policies & Procedures and research the company owners to find out if this pillar is present.

2) Timing in the company and Timing in the Industry. Is the company trying to sell outdated products or services? Is it in it’s infancy? Has it passed it’s prime?

3) A remarkable product that a lot of people want. Would you buy your product at the full retail price if you were not in the company? (HINT: If you have to educate people on why they need your product - this pillar is NOT in place)

4) Compensation Plan Does it pay part time people as well as the 1 - 2% that are “sponsor monsters”? The majority of people who join your business will be part time people. How many people do you need in your organization purchasing product each month in order for you to make your desired income?

5) A Proven System for Success This is NOT “make a list of your friends & family” or “buy leads”. Those things do not work.

If you have less than 5 Pillars, it is possible for you to have success, but it will be a lot harder than if you are in a 5 Pillars company. Why set yourself up for failure?

In today’s post, John Fogg makes an excellent point. Be careful what you focus on.

I see it every day. Negativity. Instead of focusing on what’s right with something, lots of people focus on what’s wrong.

Mother Theresa said it best:

“I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.”

She knew what she was talking about. Positive thinking is a powerful thing. The law of attraction says we get more of what we focus on. If we focus on negative, we’ll get more negative. If we focus on positive, we’ll get more positive.

There’s nothing wrong with trying to make something better, but when you go about it like K2 does, always focusing on the negative, you bring about more negative.

Be careful what you think/talk about.

Success in 10 Steps

Yesterday I came across a new tool (or new to me anyway) that will help get more traffic to my blogs. It’s called BLOGRUSH.

BLOGRUSH is a widget that you put on your blog. This widget will allow your posts to appear in the widget on other people’s blogs and their posts to appear n the widget on your blog. This in itself is a great thing.

It get’s better though. For everyone who signs up by clicking on my referral link or clicking the bottom of my widget (==> see that in the sidebar), I receive credits for my blog link to be shown on other sites - and they do too. I receive credits for my links to be shown on other blogs every time someone visits my site also.

Check it out. They have tutorials that can help explain all of this.

(I posted this before, but it bears repeating now and then)

Do you love network marketing? Do you know that network marketing is the vehicle to create a recurring income for life? Do you have realistic expectations of network marketing? Were you promised you could join, work a few hours a week and get rich in no time?

I’m here to tell you the TRUTH. Network marketing can be the vehicle to create a recurring income for life. Can it happen overnight? NO.

Think of it like this: Bamboo grows mainly under the ground. It’s roots spread out and cover a great area. This takes time. Each year, bamboo only grows a few feet.

After 5 years or so, bamboo will all of a sudden shoot up over 30 feet. This is because it spent the majority of it’s time in the first 5 years growing solid roots into the ground. Only after the root system is solid, does the bamboo really begin to flourish and grow tall and strong.

Be bamboo!! Build a good solid foundation. Network marketing takes time. It is a relationship business. Build good, solid relationships that will last a lifetime BEFORE you sponsor the person into your organization. It is important that you let your prospects get to know you. And you get to know them. This way, you will know up front if you are going to be able to work together.

I can look at it this way: A friend of mine started college about 2 years ago. He gets to struggle for 4-5 years while studying/attending classes during the day and working at night (outside the home) to pay for tuition. He is learning a trade that will eventually allow him to (in 4 or 5 years) BEGIN his career by helping make some lucky business owner rich. (I’m not saying college is bad. I went to college and my kids will go to college.)

I began my network marketing career with a new company about 2 years ago. I will work 15 - 20 hours a week for 5 - 10 years and have the financial and time freedom to do the things I want to do. I will probably continue to work and continue to increase my RESIDUAL income, but I won’t HAVE to.

Network marketing trainers drive me crazy.
Here are just a few of the things these so-called “trainers” teach:

Go say to your friends & neighbors - “I have found a product that does XYZ for me. Do you know anyone who might like to know about a product like that?”

Go say to your friends & neighbors - “I just opened a new business from home. If you know anyone who might be interested in making money from home, let me know” - because, after all, if you opened a shoe store you would want to tell everyone about it, right?

There are “trainers” out there who are telling people to open their local phone book and start calling people. They tell you that you’re not violating the “Do Not Call” law because you’re not selling, you’re just telling them about a great product/service/opportunity and asking them if they know anyone who would like to hear about it. (THAT’S A LIE by the way)

WHY would you set yourself up for rejection like that??

If you have a “pitch” like these ones - STOP USING IT!!

You’ve been struggling for one reason and one reason ONLY:

**You were NOT taught the right way to do this business**

That’s it - that’s the bottom line.
